At Homeschool Montana, we believe every child is precious in the sight of God and should be treated with love, dignity and respect. We recognize the importance of protecting children in our care. Thus, we have guidelines in place to
ensure children are cared for appropriately.
All adult volunteers have undergone background checks and received appropriate training to care for your children.
Additional procedures for any event we host are as follows:
1. Adult supervision will always be in place as we care for your child.
2. Two adult (aged 18 or older) volunteers will always be present with the groups of
children.
3. Volunteers will not assist any child with toilet or bathroom needs. A female
volunteer will take the child to the entrance of the bathroom and have the child
wait outside while the volunteer confirms the bathroom (and all stalls) are
empty. The volunteer will then wait outside (in the hallway) until the child is
finished. If the child requires assistance, the volunteer will call the parent on the
mobile number provided during registration. The volunteer will not enter the
bathroom to assist.
4. Volunteers will always keep children in an open and accessible area. No private
communication, pictures or other personal correspondences will occur.
5. Volunteers are mandatory reporters and will respond accordingly to any
violation of a child.
6. No pictures or videos will be taken of children by volunteers that include a child’s
face or side profile.
7. If your child needs redirection or discipline, this will be done through kind but
firm, verbal redirection. Should your child need further correction, staff will
contact parent via text or call the number provided during registration.
8. Should a parent have any concerns regarding the care of their child, they should
reach out to the President of Homeschool Montana, Rachel Dombach
