Homeschool Montana Day at the Capitol

Thurs, April 16, 2026 | 12-3pm

Don’t miss the 2026 Homeschool Montana Day at the Capitol!

Homeschooling families from across the state will gather in Helena for a day of learning, connecting, and celebrating homeschool freedom.

Meet fellow families, hear from inspiring speakers, and enjoy hands-on activities—all while helping show the strength and unity of Montana’s homeschool community.

Join us at noon to hear from legislators and Homeschool Montana leaders as we stand together in support of educational freedom.

This is a perfect educational field trip—giving students a front-row seat to civic engagement and an unforgettable experience at the heart of our state government. We can’t wait to see you there!

Be Ambassadors for Homeschooling

As we gather at the Capitol, remember that we represent the homeschool community across Montana. Please encourage your children to be kind, gracious, and respectful of the Capitol building and the people who work there. A positive attitude and good manners help leave a strong impression of homeschool families.

Before Attending Homeschool Day at the Capitol

Hearing directly from homeschool families makes a meaningful impact.

One of the most important parts of the day is meeting the people who represent you.

BEFORE you come to Capitol Day, please take a few minutes to:

  1. Find your legislators using the Montana Legislature website.
  2. Contact them by email, phone, or even a handwritten note. (Contact information can be found on the Montana Legislature website)
  3. Invite them to join us for the Homeschool Day Rally from 12:00–12:45 PM in the Capitol Rotunda. If possible, arrange to meet with your legislators in person.
  4. Thank them for the work they do serving the people of Montana.
